At the regular school board meeting held on July 26, the PISD Board voted to hold the budget and tax rate meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011. They also voted unanimously to maintain the current tax rate of $1.17 for maintenance and operations and eliminate the prior year tax rate of $.065 for the interest and sinking fund for a total proposed 2011-12 tax rate of $1.17.
