Biographical Information

I was born and raised on a farm northeast of Petersburg and attended Petersburg schools all 12 years. I am married to Topsy and we have three children: Stephen, Taryn, and Sam.

Hobbies: Reading, gardening, and music.

I love to read and it is my desire to influence a desire and love of reading in my students. Some of my favorite authors are: Harlan Coben, John Grisham, Michael Connelly, James Patterson, Brad Meltzer, and David Baldacci. I also enjoy reading magazines; People magazine is my favorite!

Gospel music is my favorite, but I appreciate just about all genres of music with the exceptions of most rap and what I call "ghetto music."
