Cecilia Perez Memorial Fund Established

The Petersburg ISD family is mourning the death of Cecilia Perez, a Petersburg High school student. Cecilia was killed in a traffic accident Sunday morning. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at noon at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Petersburg. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Combest (formerly White's) Funeral Home in Idalou. A rosary will also be recited at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
A memorial fund has been established at Vista Bank to assist the Perez family in this time of need. Contributions to the Cecilia Perez Memorial Fund may be sent to Vista Bank at Petersburg at Box 270, Petersburg, Texas 79250 or dropped off at any Vista Bank location..

| 09/13/2010 | My heart goes out to the perez-sanchez family.My son chris got to know cece in a special way"giving her two heart candies for valentines" from that moment on they forged a friendship,she was his big friend as he would say.Not a time didn't go by cece wouldn't turn around and say"hi chris how are you,your so cute" and flash her warm smile. Her heart was always filled with love, she had a warmth about her and was so very sweet.First day of school there was cece waiting to say "hello" to chris, then a week later shes gone. I liked cece alot, she was just the most loving human being there was,she was so good with the little ones helping them read or say words. God Bless cece,fly high honey.
