Petersburg Elementary Students "Making Change" For Haiti Relief
Students Raise $565 In Three Days

Petersburg Elementary students recently raised $565 to aid the relief efforts in Haiti. The students brought their change, along with some "green" as well, in an effort to help those that experienced such great tragedy. The money was gathered during a 3 day period, January 19-21st.
"The kids were seen bringing zip-loc bags full of change. They put into action the fact that they care for others. What a great testament to their character!", said Petersburg Elementary teacher Kipy Alford, who helped spearhead the effort. "We are very proud of what they have accomplished."
