PHS Senior Named National Merit Scholar Semifinalist

Taylor Nichols. a senior at Petersburg High School, has been named a National Merit Scholar semifinalist. She is one of approximately 16,000 seniors nationwide so honored. The recognition is based on test scores and other data and allows her to continue in the quest to be named a National Merit Scholar finalist. Ten Lubbock ISD students and a homeschooled student from Crosbyton were other students from the South Plains that were also designated as semifinalists.
